A mirage is a naturally occurring optical phenomenon in which light rays bend to produce a displaced image of distant objects or the sky. One typical type of mirage is inferior mirage, which may appear to be a lake of water in the distance for exhausted travelers in the desert.
Relating to this phenomenon, I want to awaken people to water scarcity, the lack of fresh water resources to meet water demand. In this render, the water is fake; the flowers are fake; and the plants are fake. The mirror that the fake elephant is touching refers to the illusory environment. In the mirror, there is only sand and sky, no more water and greens.
